Many podcasts I listen to, are around one hour and two and a half hours. This is pretty long, but most of the time worthwhile to listen to. I have a commute of an half hour each day, and some time to listen to somethings. But a two and a half hour show, will take 5 commutes to hear it all.

Are there any podcasts that are between 10 and 15 minutes long and are focused around one idea or news item?

Flipboard remixes blogs and news papers and show articles as one page items. In the same way you could create an audio playlist with 10 minute clips.
