In the last few weeks I have moved a part of my websites to my new server. This is now and actual server, not a computer hidden behind an ADSL router. I’m curious to find out how this actually works.
As an experiment I will try HTTP authentication to stop comment spam. The password is shown next to the chat button. I hope people will understand what to do. I also hope it will stop comment spam.
This afternoon I created a feedin HTML. It’s not useful yet, because the only useragent that will be able to read it is your webbrowser. Of course curl and wget should work too, but they are not as useful for reading webnews. Less code, more content
Hmm slowchat. Why would anyone want it? I created this little piece of slowchat goodness on the right side here. Post some nice messages. The winter is coming and it could be cold. Show me some love :).
Just two weeks ago I bought a new digital camera. It’s a Panasonic DMC-TZ1, which I’m pretty happy with. The nice thing about this camera is, that I can take pictures with it. The pictures I took are visible on my new photo gallery. So take a look. Obvious about the pictures is that I still have a lot to learn about taking pictures in dark places.
A week ago I created a website about stuff. The layout is and will stay as simple as it is at this moment. At the moment it’s mostly programming related articles. But one could expect more and different texts.
Yesterday was a crazy day. It was the third phase of the .EU domain registrations and everybody could try and get a domain. Not everyone got what they wanted but I am still very happy with the two domains I got: stuifzand.eu and hobby-koopjes.eu. The last one is of course a little present for my father and will become the european version of the webshop hobby-koopjes.nl. After this day, normal registrations will start, but almost all good domainnames are already gone (about 400_000)....
Yesterday I created a new website. Everyone can type statements. After that people can vote about the Imba-ness of the statement. Check it out: imba.peterstuifzand.nl.
It was hard work, but at last a new version of the hobby-koopjes.nl website is online. It has become a nice website, with an interface that’s actually quite pretty.
